Samsun tobacco leaves are small in size, stalks are wide leaf form is similar to anchusa. Especially in this origin, the aroma of the Sıtmasuyu variety is very strong.

Nicotine content of Samsun tobacco is between 1.25-1.40%. The leaves of the bafra tobacco are small and partly medium in size, the petiola part is narrow, and the form is heart shaped. Their tissues are thin, elastic and durable. They are thin veined. Leaf surfaces are small, leaf edges are wavy.

The leaf color changes between red and dark red, the appearance is bright. Samsun have a specific color feature which is that the leaves which are close to the root are darker than the upper leaves.
